Description

HIGH AVERAGE POWER FIBER AMPLIFIER MODULE The solicitation number is FA8601-05-T-0198. This is a Sole Source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. The proposed contract is for a commodity for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is Nufern Inc. The description is as follows: High Average Power Fiber Amplifier. The government anticipates a sole source award to Nufern Inc. because it is necessary to have a high average power fiber amplifier module capable of handling up to 100W of power and incorporates a built-in pump combiner. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
