Description
The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command, Acquisition Center, on behalf of the Project Manager Intelligence and Effects, Integrated Meteorological System (IMETS) Project Office, plans to negotiate a sole source contract wi th Regents of New Mexico State University (NMSU) of Las Cruces, NM for a task related to software integration and support. Contractor Support Required - to provide 'stop-gap' support to the Integrated Meteorological System (IMETS) Project Office for the period from the existing contract expiration date (18 October 2005) until the US Army CECOM has awarded a new Omnibus HBCU co ntract. The contractor shall provide software development, integration, and support. Software developed and integrated for IMETS includes, but is not limited to; weather applications/models, data base management, mapping, communication - including weathe r data ingest and external system inter-operability - and system operating software. Support includes, but is not limited to; system software testing, operator training, configuration management, and logistical/technical support. Contract team members sh all be required to travel both CONUS and (to a lesser extent) OCONUS. The contractor team duty location is in the Army Research Laboratory at White Sands Missile Range, NM - with one exception. One member (software engineer) of the contractor team is loc ated at the Distributed Common Ground Station - Army (DCGS-A) Software Integration Laboratory (SIL), Fort Monmouth, NJ. Contractor team members must possess (be able to obtain) a Secret Security Clearance. The member working from DCGS-A SIL must acquire and maintain a Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance.
