- The Office of Justice (OJP), National Institute of Justice (NIJ) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to the National Governors Association (NGA), Center for Best Practices, 444 North Capitol Street, Suite 267, Washington, D.C. 20001-1512. The NGA will produce for NIJ two Issue Briefs. The first brief will address Innovative Sex Offender Management Policies and Practices and the second Records Expungement. The two Issue Briefs are of critical importance to states and of mutual interest to respective organizations. The Issue Briefs prepared by NGA are highly tailored for an audience of Governors and their advisors. The documents provided by NGA build on current research, practice, and policy and typically present to Governors and other state policymakers high-level recommendations for action. NGA will convene small advisory groups consisting of state policymakers, policy advisors, researchers, and practioners and will NGA in reviewing the Issue Briefs. NGA is the sole organization they we are aware that is authorized to create and disseminate information to Governors and policy advisors that represents the official view of the organization. Based on NGA?s unique access to, and credibility with, the Governors, it is necessary that they author these reports. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
