- Contractor is to provide janitorial Services at the Sanford Veterans Center located at 628 Main Street, Springvale, Maine for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center, Augusta, Maine. General cleaning services are to be provided Tuesday and Friday. Tuesday night the services shall be provided after 8:00 PM. Friday night the services shall be provided after 4:30 PM. Services are for a one story building approximately 2,952 Square Feet. The rooms include a large conference/group room, seven offices, one kitchen with storage area and two restroom areas. Services to include the following: Twice per week: clean and sterilize all telephones; dust all baseboards and windowsills; dust and polish all desks free of paperwork, all chairs and bookshelves. Wash bathroom floors and totally sanitize bathrooms. Vacuum entire Vet Center and clean entryway glass and sliding window. Clean and sanitize kitchen. Police outside for papers, cigarette butts, trash cans. Clean kitchen appliances. Empty all waste cans and replace liners as appropriate. Remove all debris from Vet Center. Trash needs to be delivered to a trash bin approximately ? mile from the Vet Center. Monthly: Wash windows inside and out; thorough cleaning of all window blinds. Windows consist of ten (10) sliding windows with screens and four (4) double sliding windows with screens. Spot-clean all walls. Three times per year: October, February, and June Shampoo all carpets and shampoo upholstery. Strip bathroom floors of wax and reapply. All paper products, trash bags and hand soaps will be supplied by the Vet Center. All other necessary cleaning products such as disinfectants, window/glass cleaning products, furniture polish, floor finishing wax, floor stripper are to be supplied by the contractor. Contractor must provide a written list of all chemicals in use and stored on site by the cleaning service to the Veterans Administration. Material Data Safety Sheets will be provided and filed at the clinic at all times. The Veterans Administration will notify the contractor as soon as possible if the times of cleaning need to be adjusted due to work hours being extended. Numbered Note 1 applies.
