- SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION FA4897-05-R-0043 This project is for the purchase of Expeditionary Broadband Over Powerlines (or EBOP) for an Air Warfare Battlefield Initiative. Delivery to Mountain Home AFB, ID. CLIN 0001: 1 Each ? EBOP capable of using electrical power lines for network connectivity in a deployed environment to transmit computer network traffic over power lines. A) Demonstrate through oral presentation, the ability to provide network connectivity across a medium-voltage power grid to a single facility. B) Demonstrate through written proposal, the ability to provide network connectivity across a medium-voltage power grid to multiple facilities over a period of time. Additional requirements: Must already be developed, including drawings, forms, molds, dies, etc. Must be used for this evaluation without modification. Must not require the generation of new software, or the modification of the same. Must not require the integration of commercial subassemblies to make the finished item. (Assembly- the putting together of manufactured parts to make a complete product, is acceptable. Integration ? assembly requiring the design and manufacture of a common interface not existing prior, is not acceptable.) CLIN 0002: 1 Each ? Demonstrate support/training CLIN 0003: 2 Each ? Provide trips for 2 demonstrations. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The solicitation, a request for proposals (RFP), will be issued on a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334119 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The successful contractor will be selected by evaluation resulting in the best value for the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Offerors shall submit proposals that can be accepted solely on the basis of the initial offer as the Government may proceed with award of a contract without further discussion. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 29 July 2005 and due on or about 26 Aug 2005 using the Government's Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies are not available. You must register on the subject site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation; however, you may still retrieve the changes without registering. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to be eligible for award.
