Description
The Air Force Flight Test Center has a requirement for Real-Time Kinetic Positioning (GPS) Receivers. The following is the description of the unit. Built in memory card for data storage/Integrated data logging capability Receivers LCD interface and keypad Rugged and Flexible ? designed to withstand the elements (DL-4plus) Advanced position performance (Pulse Aperture Correlator (PAC) technology, three serial ports at speeds up to 230,400 bits per second and USB support Receiver must also include an external oscillator input and power output to supply peripheral devices Support for inertial measurement unit (IMU) NovAtel?s DL-4plus features as built in memory card and integrated LCD and keypad. This eliminates the need for a separate handheld controller and data collector. It is designed for easy access, the memory card can quickly be exchanged for extended data collection sessions and allows for fast configuration. The DL-4plus patented Pulse Aperture Correlator (PAC) technology virtually eliminates the effects of multipath, the DL-4plus offers superior positioning accuracy. The receiver features optional support for SBAS corrections provided by systems such as WAAS, MSAS, and EGNOS. RT-2 mode provides centimeter-level accuracy for real-time kinermatic (RTK) applications. FOB Destination. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the complete EMI Test Receiver System detailed in the ten (10) commercial components listed above. Firms responding to this synopsis must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the synopsis number and indicate whether or not that they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334220. The Small Business size standard is 750 employees. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in August 2005.
