Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote is W9124B-05-R-0012 issued as request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal A cquisition Circular 2005-05 dated 27 July 05. The associated NAICS code is 423860. ITEM DESCRIPTION AND QUANTITY CLIN 0001 4k and 6k Forklift Rebuild- Require (8) 4k and 6k forklift rebuilds Quantity: 8 Each. CLIN 0002 - 10k Forklift Rebuild - Require (2) 10 k Forklift rebuilds. Requested delivery date: Various for next 12 months.. Delivery and acceptance point is: Fort Irwin, CA. 92310. Contractor will conduct a pre-shop analysis at Fort Irwin on each forklift repaired under the provisions of a provided SOW. Forklift Technical Manuals, Army Technical Manuals, and repair facility diagnosis, inspection, and testing techniques will be us ed to determine the vehicles serviceability. This inspection will be used to estimate the cost of repair for each forklift. Unit will provide forklifts in various states of repair. Contractor will perform pre-shop inspections on each vehicle to determine overhaul requirements to ensure the equipment is overhauled adhering to the information contained in the manufacturers technical manuals and provided Statement of Work. Upon completion of the services performed on each forklift at the previously designat ed overhaul/rebuild site, , the forklift shall be transported back to the Fort Irwin Motorpool where it was originally retrieved at no additional cost to the 11ACR. Final authorization for completed work will be done by SPO, 11ACR, upon delivery of forklif t to Fort Irwin. This will be accomplished with the assistance of an 11ACR, Army certified forklift operator conducting a PMCS and Checkride in order to determine forklift functionality.
