Description
"INSIGNIA, DISTINGUISHING, U.S. ARMY SERVICE TAPE?: NSN: 8455-01-513-6334. Specification: MIL-I-12718F, 30 September 1985, with Interim Amendment 4, dated November 13, 2003. Five (5) each First Article Test Samples required 45 days after date of award. Production lead-time 90 days after award. Three deliveries destination: New Cumberland, PA and Phoenix, AZ. Quantity: minimum 500,000 and maximum 2,500,000 for basic order. One option year is also included. Quantity: minimum 100,000 and maximum 2,500,000. Indefinite Type contract provisions apply. Total Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation will include end item specification. Solicitation will be available on the Procurement gateway on or around August 22, 2005. Contractor supplies all materials. Contractor must be CCR Registered and have a government cage code. BUY AMERICAN ACT APPLIES. Drawings and Specifications can be obtained from our Contracting page located at: http://ct.dscp.dla.mil/contracting. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home after (July 27, 2004). From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFPs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment? impose restrictions on the DoDs acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. A System for vendors to request specifications, patterns, drawings etc can be retrieved from DSCP website. The contractor fills out an on-line form and the request is emailed to the TDR area and stored in a database table.
