Description

I. Introduction A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are be ing requested, as a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan intends to negotiate solely with Abaqus Great Lakes Inc. of Plymouth, Michigan, as this is a continuation of licensing and maintenance f rom the original source, as described in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 6.302-1. C. The combined Synopsis/Request number is AMSRDT-AR-0-0206. D. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. E. This acquisition is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 511210, Software Publishers. F. Basis for Award - The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i.) Technical capability of the equipment to meet the Governments requirement and ii.) Price**//** II. General The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement to purchase a 1 year Abaqus Software License and Maintenance Renewal for their Abacus Software used in the analytical eng ineering support of Army ground vehicles, to include the following requirements: 30 Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, Abaqus/Aqua, Abaqus/Design leases 2 Abaqus/CAE leases 1 Abaqus/Viewer lease 1 FE-Safe lease 1 Geometry Translator for Pro/ENGINEER lease.**//** III. Submittal instructions: A. The quotation shall be submitted electronically to garrett.bagat@us.army.mil no later than 12:00 noon EST on August 15, 2005. Quotations shall all be in English (American Standard) language and denominated in U.S. dollars. Quotation shall include ship ping and delivery schedule. This will be a firm fixed price contract and quotations shall be made accordingly. In the event that we select your quotation for award, we will send out a contract incorporating the above terms and conditions, and particulars of your quotation. US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) reserves the right to seek clarification on any aspect of your quotation. B. This acquisition is unrated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). C. Contractors must be listed in the Central Contractor Registry prior to receiving an award.
