- Description
- This is a request for statements of capability from small business for independent validation and verification support (IV&V). This is part of market research in the acquisition process for acquiring contractor IV&V support for The U.S. Department of Education (ED) to oversee the performance of the Education Network (EDNet) Service Provider (SP). These services include assistance to determine whether or not the sourcing process and service delivery post transition conform to the EDNet contract requirements. Among these are ED's stated business requirements, quality, service levels and pricing requirements. ED also requires support services for the government management staff to assist in managing the transformation from the previous T&M contract type to a performance-based contract type. A successful contractor will be required to be corporately certified or the business unit proposing to provide the work certified as CMMI Level III or higher and/or progressing to CMMI Levels IV and V. Contractor personnel shall have experience working in a CMMI Level III or higher environment. Please submit your Statements of Capability and Small Business Certification for the cited NAICS code no later than 2:00 p.m. EST on August 15, 2005. Statements of capability shall be no longer than 5 pages and provide evidence of CMMI Level III or higher certification. The statements of capability shall address the business' ability to perform IV&V support as described in the draft statement of work. Please also include the relevant information for any GSA Schedules or GWACs that could be used to acquire this support. Statements of capability are being requested only of small business at this time. An award decision will not be made as a result of this request. Electronic submissions are encouraged and may be sent to the following e-mail addresses: Alice.Mihill@ed.gov with a cc: to James.Hairfield@ed.gov.
