Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS FOR SOLICITATION N62467-05-R-0147 WHICH IS A SET ASIDE FOR HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering, Southern Division, is seeking to award a contract to a HubZone Small Business for Railroad Repairs, Various Locations, MCLB, Albany, Ga. The NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the small business size standard is $28.5 Mil. The Federal Supply Code is Y299, Construction all other non-building facilities. The project involves Railroad Repairs of the follow type: replace grade ties; replace all switch ties; ballast and pull track; and grade crossing replacement. This contract will include a base year and four one-year options. There will be no future synopsis in the event the options included in the contract are exercised. No new work can be issued after one year following award of initial contract unless option year is exercised. Offerors must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database with a DUNS number in order to participate in this procurement. For instructions on registering with the CCR, please visit the website for CCR at http://www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to issue the Request for Proposal (RFP), electronically by posting it on the NAVFAC Website, http://esol.navfac.navy.mil on 12 August 2005. Offerors must register on the Internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Proposals are due on August 30, 2005. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore, IT IS THE OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. The government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any proposal.
