Description
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to purchase a brand named InsituPro VS base unit, model #12.00 (fully automated Insitu hybridization robot), manufactured by Intavis LLC. The purchase includes: Work Area for 48 large samples with large size organism (7-10 mm) thermos, regulated work platform model #12.500, all equipment, installation, and training, one set of incubation sample baskets (per block) and one set of reagent/solution. The brand name determination is based upon the capability of Intavis LLC. This is the only fully automated Insitu hybridization robot that is able to perform complete insitu hybridization experiments without the scientist intervention. The InsituPro VS is cable of performing Insitu hybridization on slide mounted tissue samples; performing Immunocytochemistry on whole mount tissues and slides; The Slide Unit upgrade allows the InsituPro VS to change from whole mount work area to slides with a simple exchange of work areas; and capable of working on three interchangeable whole mount work areas, for small, medium and large specimens. This is the only known system that meets the Government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541710, and Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This is a total small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the Government with the products in this synopsis should submit (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The Offeror must also register in the Government?s Contractor Registry System, note: www.ccr.gov . The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2005-149-DDC. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or August 23, 2005, 12:00 p.m., local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Rockledge Building 2, Room 6151, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter.
