- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order for construction of elevated work platforms for maintenance of chilled water and high temperature hot water valves in the Environmental Protection Agency Building D valve pit located at 111 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Any contractor bidding on this project must have a confined space and a confined space permit safety program which is to be submitted with their bid. This is a firm fixed price requirement and will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under Simplified Acquisition procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The RFQ package - DLV50280 - will be issued on or about 8/17/05 and will be due on or about 9/14/05. There will be a site visit for this solicitation approximately one (1) week after issuance. The date, time, and place of the site visit will be specified in the RFQ package. Requests for the RFQ package should be sent to the attention of Dee Lunney via FAX (919) 541-5117 or USPS to NIEHS, P.O. Box 12874, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. No telephone requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. The NAICS Code/Size is 238320/$12.0M. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
