Description
Question and Answer Note: FBO was not able to upload the picture as attachement, please reach Lt President 707 424 7770 with your fax number if you wish for the picure. Thanks 1. Do you need a steerable axle trailer? The question is related to the requirement for 90 degree turn radius. 2. Will the trailer be used on pavement (runway) or off road over rough terrain? 3. Why is the trailer extra-wide? What will it carry? 4. What is a "rocking front bolster?" # 1 yes it needs to be 90degree turn radius on front axle. # 2 mostly pavement and flight line (taxiways, runways)and in shop areas, some gravel areas wherever needed # 3 it is wide due to our requirement is for the C-5 cargo aircraft the largest plane in the inventory, components of this aircraft # 4 A rocking center pivot point of the front axle that allows the wheels to turn at 90 degrees and remain on the ground. 1) What size Rumber Planks are required? 2) Are there specific positions on the trailer that need to be accessed from below more easily? Where? 3) Is the front axle to be shorter in width? If so, how much? 4) Is a two individual front axle 90 degree steering solution desired? If so would 4 front wheels be acceptable with steering at each pair? 5) Is there any concentrated load points on the trailer? 6) What additional accessories or storage for Basic Equipment will be accommodated? 7) When will be the delivery deadline? #1 The picture should have answered this and so did my description the size of the planks are what is required to meet the requirement 2?x 8? and 13? 6? long spaced to have 18 inches between them yet have one at each end of the trailer. #2 Everywhere the planks are not (everywhere possible) #3 no #4 ? This agency does not want four wheels on the front #5 not primarily however it may carry items not the full length of the trailer and this would cause a load to be placed center of trailer #6 primarily items fro tie down and needed items for safety #7 ASAP this is a question for you LT but before 30 Sept is what I am expecting.
