Description
The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico, Virginia has a request for information for Wrecker Services. The services needed will include all transportation, materials and labor, as required, to provide on-call wrecker/recovery and roadside assistance services for disabled, wrecked, mired, rolled over, or otherwise disabled/inoperable equipment to include transporting the driver and assistant driver with the vehicle, to specified repair facilities on/near Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA, and/or disposal sites including Richmond and Norfolk, VA on a scheduled basis. Types of equipment to be recovered include, but are not limited to material handling equipment, heavy engineer equipment, passenger/school buses, vans, sedans, and trucks of numerous types up to 15-tons or larger. Coverage for on-call service within a 1-hour response time from contact includes all areas aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, and areas within a 50-mile radius. Service ! hours include 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, all year long, including all holidays, on an on-call basis on the MCB Quantico installation, and between the hours of 0600 and 1800, Monday through Friday, all year long, excluding Federal Holidays within a 50-mile radius of the perimeter of MCB Quantico. Also included is same-day, on-call service between the hours of 0600 and 1800 for towing and/or delivery of equipment undergoing repairs to/from designated repair facilities and staging areas. Roadside assistance includes changing flat tires, jump-starts, and limited quantity refueling, and recovery includes service on all types of surfaces (including off-road surfaces/areas; unimproved roads such as dirt, mud or gravel, and grassy or wooded areas). Service also includes dedicated and/or onsite wrecker/recovery capability in direct support of certain large special events (such as the Marine Corps Marathon or Presidental Inaugurations) or emergency operations (such as snow-! removal or hurricane recovery operations) upon request.
