Description
This contract is to perform fuel tank inspections, cleaning, and removal of contamination; that includes, but is not limited to: water, sediment, gums, algae, bacteria, fungi, deposits and oxidized fuel; on the following tanks, located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, OH: Six ? 30,000 gallon, above ground, #2 diesel tanks located at B147 Two ? 10,000 gallon, underground #2 diesel tanks located at B330 One ? 6,000 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B310 One ? 2,500 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B411 One ? 2,000 gallon, underground gasoline tank located at B135 One ? 1,650 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B320 One ? 1,500 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B302 One ? 1,000 gallon, underground automotive diesel tank located at B135 One ? 1,000 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B409 One ? 500 gallon, underground #2 diesel tank located at B147 This service is to meet Millipore patch test for diesel fuel to ASTM D975-04 Standard Specifications for Diesel Fuel Oils, standards. The contractor is to check the condition of all caps, gaskets, fittings, and vent pipes. Also included in this service is checking for water/fuel infiltration into the vault space. The report will show ?before and after? condition of the fuel. The contractor will contact Engineering Service prior to performing the work to obtain keys, and permission to enter any and all buildings and locked containment areas. The work is to be done between March 1, 2006 and April 30, 2006. All work shall be performed by skilled and trained personnel, possessing necessary training and certifications to include federal, state, and local requirements. Services to include supervision, all labor, travel, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform this cleaning maintenance. Contractor shall abide by all applicable federal, state and local regulations. ***SEE NUMBERED NOTE 29***
