Description

This is a synopsis for a construction, noncommercial acquisition. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 ? THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. The acquisition is a competitive 8(a) set-aside that is geographically limited to 8(a) companies within the state of Florida. ** Notice to Offerors** Funds are not presently available for this project. In the event current fiscal year funding does not become available, the requirement will be funded with next year?s funds contingent upon appropriation by Congress. 45 CONS/LGCA has a requirement for partial demolition, alteration, and additions to an existing hangar. The work will include building additions, asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, installation of new plumbing systems and fixtures, HVAC system, electrical wiring, conduits, and associated controls of affected areas, and furniture coordination and installation for administrative office areas. The estimated period of performance for this project is 500 calendar days. The primary place of performace is Patrick AFB, Florida. The anticipated contract is a firm fixed price with a construction project magnitude between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The government intends to make a single award on the basis of a price-past performance trade-off. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of final contract amount will be required for this acquisition. The acquisition is a competitive 8(a) set-aside. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 1531, a North American Industry Classification System (NIACS) code of 236220, and a size standard of $28,500,000. Solicitation No. FA2521-05-R-0084 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 15 Aug 05 at www.eps.gov . Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-6193), or e-mail, and must have a proposal acceptance period through 31 Dec 05.
