Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director (OD), Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations (OLAO), Division of Logistics Services (DLS), Gaithersburg Distribution Center (GDC) intends to make a single award for animal feed. The animal feeds required are as follows: Dog food, bagged, NSN #8710-00-507-5835; Rat and mouse formula 1, NIH-07, open formula, NSN# 8710-00-509-7915; Rabbit feed, NIH-09, NSN #8710-00-509-7941; Rat and mouse feed, open formula (autoclavable), NIH-31, NSN #8710-01-005-8438; Rabbit feed, open formula (autoclavable), NIH-32, NSN #8710-01-005-8439; Guinea pig feed, open formula, NIH-34M, NSN #8710-00-900-1230; Primate feed, open formula, NSN #8710-00-216-6258; Rat and mouse feed, open formula (autoclavable), NIH-31-3/8, crude protein, NSN #8710-00-L63-8731; Rat and mouse feed, open formula (medicated), NIH-31, NSN #8710-00-L63-8437; and Primate feed (20% protein, high fiber), NSN #8710-00-L63-7604. All feed shall be palletized. Provide manufacturer?s name, brand, number and size of bag (lb. or. Kg.). Responders must identify your business size and type of business (e.g., SDB, SDVOB, 8(a), etc.). The award will be made to the responsible business who submits the most advantageous proposal to the Government. The contract period is expected to be for a 12-month base period and two 12-month option periods. The solicitation will be available on or about August 24, 2005 and will be distributed via Federal Express mailings. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA). Please refer to http://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to register. Also, all contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web-site for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for these services is 311119 and the business size is 500 employees. The solicitation will be for full and open competition.
