- DESC: Bipod Assembly, NSN: 1005-01-408-5905, Part Number: 12976883. The item to procure is a Bipod Assembly used on the M240B, 7.62mm Machine Gun. Consists of: left & right leg assembly, actuating cylinder, bipod head, body hinge bipod head, leg spring, slotted tubular spring pin, bipod retaining plunger & bushing, and other hardware. Investment casting and precision machining required. The proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside that will result in a 5-year IDIQ contract with a guara nteed minimum quantity of 7,000 each and an estimated total contract maximum of 24,000 each. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is 29 August 2005. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet . Vendors, who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal, must signed the non-disclosure and non-use agreement, which will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. Signed copies of the non-disclosure and non-use agreement must be compl eted and submitted to the fax number provided on the agreement before a TDP will be mailed. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Teleph one Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet and the non-disclosure and non-use agreement has been executed. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured exclusively in the US and Canada. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract, exclusively within the US and Canada. This solicitation will be issued electronically in ac cordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index. htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render y our bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Note 26 applies.
