Description

The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity has a requirement for mobile (temporary) office space to house part of its workforce. The office space must be in close proximity to USAMRAAs headquarters in Bldg 820, Fort Detrick, must be able to provide a fully functioning work environment for approximately 40 people (including workspaces, voice, and data communications, and must be available by 23 September 2005 when the existing lease expires. USAMRAA estimates that it will require this tempora ry office space for a base period of one year, with a one-year option period. USAMRAA intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the continuation of a lease agreement on mobile office spaces currently occupied by USAMRAA. The current lease, with the Williams-Scottsman Corporation of Baltimore, Maryland, expires 22 September 2005. The intent is to make a sole source award of one base-year and two one-year options pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten calendar days from the date of publication of t his notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at: USAMRAA, ATTN: MCMR-AAA-P ( Kelly Green), 820 Chandler Street, Frederick, MD 21702-5014. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this not ice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract.
