- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor Det Marianas, has a requirement for husbanding services to support U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), US Coast Guard, and any other US Government ship visiting Saipan and Tinian, both U.S. Territories. Subject requirement is to provide all supplies and services required by a ship during a port visit such as removal and disposal of sewage, laundry and dry cleaning services, providing breasting and fendering barges, cranes, fenders, pier and wharf usage. The requirement includes pre-arrival and post-arrival actions. Submission of cost estimate for port visit to the ship is one of the main pre-arrival duties and it involves a lot of the contractor's efforts and time. The overall requirement involves management and coordination of port services, ensuring Force Protection measures are implemented, facilitating other contractors? work with the ship, and generally taking care of all the needs of the ship and personnelon board. The Period of Performance is one (1) year (01 December 2005 through 30 November 2006) and two (2) annual options. This requirement would be a 100% Small Business set-aside. NAICS 488390 would apply for this requirement. Small Business size is $6,000,000 and Federal Supply Class (FSC) is R706. FISC intends to procure these services by Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) under FAR Part 13.5. The anticipated award would be a Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type of contract. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for this requirement on or about 01 September 2005 (closing on 30 September 2005, 1500 hours, Hawaii Time).
