Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Video Tape Plus, located at 8140 Webb Avenue North Hollywood, CA 91605 for the manufacture and procurement of 3,000 each Storage Vault Cans for 16MM microfilm for archival periods. Video Tape Plus is the only known source, which can provide the required software. Under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This is not a request for quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond before the closing date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide Storage Vault Cans for 16MM microfilm for archival periods. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Storage Vault Cans. If after August 22, 2005, no viable responses have been received to this announcement, SSA shall negotiate solely with Video Tape Plus.
