Description
The intent of this contract is to demolish existing pump station and construct a new pump station at Cape Perpetua Campground on the Siuslaw National Forest, Lincoln County, Oregon. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. Work includes: construct appurtenances for the force mains and process drain lines, including cut-ins, adapters, valves, pipe supports, and miscellaneous fittings; installation of a backflow preventer for the existing potable water line at the pump station site; site grading and the construction of a 4" concrete pad; demolition and removal of the existing intermediate pump station and abandonment of the existing intermediate pump station wet well by filling with sand; construction of a 70 gpm sewage pump station. The new station will be duplex and utilize rail mounted submersible pumps in a pre-cast concrete wet well installation. Also included will be drainage lines into the wet well, the associated force main, other miscellaneous appurtenances, and assocate concrete pad and earthwork; electrical and signal improvements associated with the new pump station including float controls and alarms. The Government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Technical and price proposals are due by close of business on September 9, 2005. The successful Contractor shall also be required to submit Alternative Payment Protection in the amount of 100% of the contract price prior to start of work. Contract time is 45 calendar days. Estimated start work date is September 26, 2005. This solicitation is not set-aside for business concerns. The solicitation packet will be posted in FedBizOpps on or about August 25, 2005.
