Description
CONTACT Thomas A. Egizi, Production Engineer, (732) 427-3296. This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for the Generator, Alternator, NSN 6115-01-520-6411, Part Number 431PSL6309, CAGE 38151 and NSN 6115-01-519-9151, Part Number 571RSL480 0, CAGE 38151. The Generator is manufactured by Marathon Electric Manufacturing Corporation. The Generators are used on the 100 kW and 200 kW (MEP-807A & MEP-809A) Tactical Quiet Generators (TQGs) manufactured by Engineered Electric Company DBA Fermont. D OD has also obtained these parts with the end item TQG generator sets from Fermont under their part number 0116-1120 (NSN 6115-01-520-6411) and 0116-2120 (NSN 6115-01-519-9151), CAGE 93742. DOD is interested in awarding a one time contract to purchase quan tities ranging from 2 to 10 of each Generator type. There are current sources for this item. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing new Generators should ind icate so by writing to Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-G-GN, Building 1200W, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5023. The response should include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges f or price breaks if applicable, part number & manufacturer (CAGE) of proposed parts, or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. The response should also include documentation such as copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit from the supplier listed above. The Government will also consider Generators from other manufact urers that have the same form, fit, and function as the required part. Alternate Generators would have to pass extensive performance and qualification testing to ensure the parts meet the Militarys requirements, the cost and time of which would be consid ered in the acquisition decision. The successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact Thomas Egizi, (732) 427-3296. The deadlin e for response is Aug 26, 2005. EMAIL ADDRESS: Thomas.Egizi@us.army.mil
