- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all the necessary labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services for fire protection systems in accordance with contract requirements. The services will be performed at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Willow Grove, PA. This procurement will be obtained utilizing Sealed Bidding procedures (Invitation For Bid (IFB)). The resultant contract for Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Repair Services for fire protection systems will be a combination Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Indefinite Quantity (IDQ) type contract. The FFP portion of the work consists of inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) services of the fire protection system in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-600-2, latest edition. IDQ work will consist of task orders consisting of labor hours and material issued to perform upgrade, modernization and repairs as directed by the Contracting Officer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561621. The size standard is $10.5. This solicitation will be issued as UNRESTRICTED --- open to large and small business concerns. The term of the contract is for a period of one year (twelve calendar months). The solicitation (specification) will be limited to the electronic medium. The specification WILL NOT be provided in a paper hard copy format or CD_ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the Internet is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Registration and downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective bidders are required to register on the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ESOL website for this procurement when specifications become available. An official plan holder lists will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. If you fail to register, the Government cannot be responsible for your being notified of any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about 25 August 2005. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Therefore the contractor?s responsibility to check the Internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. In addition, all contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes a bidder ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at http://www.ccr.gov/ or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.703. NOTE: Bidders should submit verification of their firm?s registration in the CCR database with their bid.
