- This synopsis/solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on-Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO in unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Laboratory, Dahlgren, Virginia, intends to procure on a sole source basis, 1 each Matrix Model No. 10382A Master Controller and 2 each Matrix Model 10384A Matrix Slave Controllers. The two slave Controllers each have a 20 ft control cable, P/N 372-10384-20 included. The vendor is Matrix Systems Corporation, 5177 North Douglas Fir Road, Calabasas, CA, 91302, D&B No. 052401056. The basis for this sole source is that Matrix is the sole designer, ! developer and manufacturer of the components, which are to be used in the Vertical Launch System (VLS) and the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) to switch VLS high level serial interfaces, supporting baseline testing events in Base Line 5.3.8 and CR2. The switches are required for seamless interfacing with the existing equipment. As a result of this notice, no written solicitation will be issued. All necessary information has been included in this publication. Reference NSWC Request for Quote N00178-05-Q-0007. Responses may be directed to XDS12@nswc.navy.mil or can be faxed to XDS12E at 540-653-7016, 540-653-6812 or 540-653-7276. Solicitation will open approximately 16 Aug 2005 and close on 31 Aug 2005. Award is anticipated on or before 02 Sept 2005. Items shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to Receiving Officer, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100.
