- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project location for the work described herein is the Dallas Bulk Mail Center located at 2400 DFW Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75398-9640. The scope of work to be completed consists of Electrical Upgrades to four double-ended unit sub-stations (13.1 KV incoming, 480 V distribution and two 1000 KVA transformers) denoted as Load Centers A, B, C and D. Also included in the work is completion of associated electrical repairs downstream of these Load Centers as indicated in the solicitation package. The existing building enclosure (currently housing Load Center A) will also be expanded to provide additional space adjacent to this Load Center. Incorporated within this building expansion will be the upgrade of HVAC and electrical power serving this Load Center enclosure. Additionally, the base work includes removal and replacement of various electrical panels and electrical panel covers as shown in the solicitation package. The estimated cost for the base work is the range of $1,500,000 to $1,700,000. The desired time frame for the base work is 180 calendar days after award. The complete solicitation package is available from Southwestern Blueprint for the purchase price of sixty dollars ($60.00) per complete set which includes drawings, project manual and separate solicitation form attachment. This cost is not a deposit, and the purchase price is non-refundable. Neither partial sets of drawings nor partial sets of the project manual will be issued. Only hard-copies are available to solicitors. Electronic copies will not be available. Solicitation documents will not be available for purchase from the architects office, however, they will be available (for review only) in the office of MPI Architects between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday except for legal holidays.
