Description

The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for services to sell tour tickets, take and sell souvenir photographs, and to sell memorabilia merchandise at Hoover Dam seven days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Currently, Hoover Dam has a contract in place to provide these services, however, the contract will expire November 30, 2005. In order for the services and revenue stream to continue, it is anticipated that a new contract will be in place on or about November 1 to allow transition from the incumbent contractor's systems to the new contractor's system. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for a base and four (4) option years. This solicitation will require the contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to implement, manage, and operate an integrated ticket sales and reservations system for Hoover Dam on-site tours. Tickets shall be made available for sale to organizations and members of the public at the Hoover Dam Tour Center. Tickets may also be offered for sale at other locations approved by the Government. The scope of work also includes (1) providing on-site ticket sales and reservations; (2) delivering pre-sold tour tickets to commercial carriers and members of the public, (3) collecting and remitting fees for all tickets sold for the Government; (4) refunding fees during Tour Center business hours; (5) providing informational brochures and fact sheets produced by the Government; and (6) providing a telephone reservation system for providing general information and ticket sales. Work also includes (1) displaying and selling memorabilia, products, and publications furnished by the Government at several locations identified by the Government; (2) provide all signage, equipment, and materials necessary to take and sell souvenir photographs; (3) develop a marketing and sales plan for memorabilia sales; and (4) prepare and distribute regularly occurring financial reports detailing financial transactions. The work is located at the theater level of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center, approximately 7 miles northwest of Boulder City, Nevada and 32 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada. This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561599 Ticket Agencies, Amusement. The estimated price range of this project is between $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00. The solicitation in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP), will be issued on or about August 26, 2005 with offers due thirty (30) days after. No documents will be available until the solicitation issued. The solicitation will only be issued electronically via www.FedBizOpps.gov. The Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD if the FedBizOpps (FBO) web site becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register at the FBO to be included on the offeror list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the FBO website after issuance download the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Offerors are required to have a current registration on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract award. Offerors may register on CCR at http://www.ccr.gov.
