Description
The 61st Air Base Group Logistic's Division (61 ABG/LG) has a requirement for Logistical Services on Los Angeles AFB which includes operating the Standard Base Supply System and, for an interim period pending absorption into the Multi-Wing Logistics System, Vehicle Operations. The basic contract period is 1 October 2005 to 30 September 2006 with sixteen (16) three-month option periods. (The interim period including Vehicle Operations will be from 1 October 2005 to 30 September 2007.)The projected contract award date is 30 August 2005. A phase-in period of 15 to 30 days is also anticipated. The following information provides a brief synopsis of services required: (1) Process requests, storage, and issue of supplies and equipment, (2) Provide customer services and research capabilities, (3) Maintain accountability records of equipment, (4) Provide pick-up and delivery service, (5) Operate Hazardous Material Cell, (6) Provide Medical Logistics services, (7)Operate Packing and Crating Section, (8) Manage mobility bags & chemical warfare assets to support contingency operations; (9)Arrange required ground transportation; and (10)Coordinate movement of personnel by any required mode of transportation. In addition, interim Transportation Services shall include: (1) Provide, operate, insure, and maintain a vehicle fleet comprised of approximately 75 vehicles including sedans, pickups, mini-vans, cargo vans, buses, and forklifts, (2) Operate Base Motor Pool, (3) Provide Distinguished Visitor (DV)/VIP transportation support, and (4) operate LAAFB/Fort MacArthur shuttle service.
