Description
The Department of Homeland Security has a requirement for a fixed price construction contract for the installation of Infrared Radiant Heating Systems for buildings 291F,G & H located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC), Atlantic City, NJ. Commencement of this project will be subject to the availability of funds. This will be a best value acquisition in accordance with FAR 13.106 and past performance will be evaluated. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price offered. This acquisition will be set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 238220. Work is to be performed by workman skilled in their respective trade and material and equipment to be installed shall be new. The work includes, but is not limited to heating/plumbing, fabrication, welding, lighting protection, power wiring, control wiring and testing. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary for this project. Contractor will be responsible for all removal and disposal of debris I/A/W local, state and federal regulations. The contractor shall work on one building at a time and complete the entire heating system before working on the next building. Construction shall commence 7 calendar days from date of contract with completion of the first building NLT120 days from the date of contract. The completion of all three building shall be done NLT 270 days from the date of contract. The total estimated value of this project is between $425,000.00 and $498,500.00. Performance and payment bonds are required after notification of award. A mandatory site visit will be held on 25 August 2005, 9:00AM, EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center Main Gate. Drawings and solicitation will be handed out to site visit participants only. Security issues require companies to identify personnel whom will be attending the mandatory site visit.
