Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Solid Waste Removal and Disposal Services for the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), Brooklyn, New York, located at 80 29th Street, Brooklyn, New York. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are as follows: 1.) Empty and replace (1) one each 30 cubic yard open top container located at the MDC on 80 30th Street, Brooklyn, New York. Container to be emptied approximately twice each month. 2.) Empty and replace (2) two each 30 cubic yard open top containers located at Dayton Manor Apartments, 9225 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Bayside, Brooklyn, New York. Each container to be emptied approximately once each week. 3.) Empty and replace (2) two each 35 cubic yard EZ Pack Government owned compactors, two pulls per week, per compactor. Compactor containers are located at the MDC on 100-29th Street and 80-29th Street, Brooklyn, New York. The contract shall consist of a base year with (4) four (12) twelve month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about September 12, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is October 12, 2005. Contract award is anticipated to be on or about November 12, 2005 with contract performance anticipated to begin December 1, 2005. This will be a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations (AUG 2005) Faith-based and community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
