Description

The 16th Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to EMS Technologies Canada, LTD., for an annual software maintenance contract for EMS to provide 24-hour system support, to include trouble-shooting, upgrades, and site visits, if required, for the SARMaster search-and-rescue management software used by the Air Force Rescue Coordination System (AFRCC). Total requirement also includes one year of maintenance for the Vermont Personal Locator Beacon workstation. This solicitation is unrestricted and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 541512 with a small business size standard of $21M. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government believes that EMS Technologies Canada, LTD. is the only known source that has the proprietary information and design expertise to provide this software, maintenance, and technical support. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the government's requirement at or before 1600 (central), 29 Sept 2005. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement.
