Description
The US Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Instron Structural Testing Systems Corporation, 100 Royall Street, Canton, MA, 02021, to provide m aintenance and service for the following Government equipment (1) INSTRON 5500 with 1125 Frame Serial Number 6376; (2) INSTRON 8500 with 810 Frame Serial Number C6340; (3) 5 Kn Tension and Compression Load Cell Model 2511-316 Serial Number 120; (4) 500 N L oad Cell Model 2525-816 Serial Number 30423; and (5) 100,000 Lbs Load Cell Serial Number 2198. Maintenance and service includes calibration (load cell capacity), tension compression (1,000, 20,0000, and 100,000) and spare parts. The anticipated period of p erformance is from October 1st, 2005 through September 30th, 2006. This award is subject to the availability of funds. The contemplated award amount is significantly less than the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The Government intends to solicit and nego tiate with Instron Structural Testing Systems Corporation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811310 and the size standard is $ 6.0 million dollars in average annual receipts over the last three years. Interested persons may iden tify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This data must be sufficient enough to allow the government to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Responses to this notice must be received no l ater than 12:00 Noon, Eastern Standard Time, August 19th, 2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
