Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center West, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for Contractor to serve as a serials subscription agent and improve the management of Stimsons library collection of magazines, journ als, newspapers, and other serially published items in both print and electronic versions. The agent handles shall handle renewals and new subscriptions for thousands of serials titles, makes any prepayments the publishers require, and can perform check-i n and process claims for missing issues of periodicals. Place of Performance and delivery is the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S) Stimson Library located at 2250 Stanley Road, Suite 106, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234. Period of P erformance is anticipated to commence on 1 October 2005 and end on 30 September 2006. The following contract line item numbers (CLINS) are applicable to this requirement.
