- The synopsis for this Sources Sought has been modified in its entirety as follows: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City ( NSWCPC) at Panama City, Florida, is requesting information from industry for maritime underwater sensors. GOVERNMENT SOURCES SOUGHT AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF INDUSTRY DAY REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for maritime underwater sensors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NSWC Panama City on the behalf of NAVSEA is performing a technology assessment of maritime sensors in support of the Sea Eagle ACTD Spiral TWO hardware development schedules. NSWC PC is seeking information on maritime underwater sensors. Maritime sensor technology desired but not limited to: acoustic, magnetic, seismic, pressure, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear. Requirements for sensor technology are as follows. (1) Sensor technology should already be at a technology readiness level of 6 or above for maturity (technology readiness level 6 is defined as Representat! ive Model or Prototype System, Which Is Well Beyond the Breadboard Level Is Tested in a Relevant Environment). (2) Sensor must be covert and completely submerged in the water column. (3) Sensor should have the ability to be used for persistent surveillance by an unmanned system. (4) Sensor should be individual, and not part of a multiple sensor package. The sensor is not required to transmit or store data and it can also be manufactured internationally. The highest priority is the sensing and detecting capability of the sensor. There is no specific format or outline that submittals must follow. However, information pertinent to the assessment criteria, especially system technical maturity should be provided. Include other descriptive literature and any other specific and pertinent information that would enhance the evaluation of the information submitted. Please include four (4) copies of your response. Each response must reference the RFI solicitation number and must be lim! ited in length to ten (10) typed pages. Specific narrative information that should be provided in the submission include: (1) System description, capabilities (2) Chronology of system development (3) Summary of past test events with location, dates, and results. Interested parties must provide paper submittals, to the Government by 1630 hours on 9 September 2005. Supporting literature and test documentation that demonstrate technical maturity of your underwater sensor may be included in addition to the 10-page narrative paper. Telephone responses will not be honored. NSWC PC will conduct an INDUSTRY DAY to allow interested parties to present information on their sensor technology. INDUSTRY DAY will consist only of discussion of sensor technology, status of the SEA EAGLE ACTD will not be open for discussion; this is strictly an information gathering meeting. The meeting will start at 0800 (tentatively in the NSWC PC Building 110 Auditorium) and last approximately 3 hours. Pr! esentations should last no longer than 30 minutes, and if necessary briefings will continue into the afternoon. Industry Day briefings and any discussions will be at unclassified level. To facilitate meeting planning, it is required that each company attending Industry Day submit on company letterhead a list of all planned attendees. The document shall provide as a minimum the following information for each planned attendee: 1. Full Name of Attendee 2. Job Position Title: 3. Country of Citizenship 4. A point of contact with telephone number in case there are any questions relative to the submission. Submission by mail or facsimile is acceptable and must be received no later than 3:00 PM CDT, 12 September 2005 by the contracting office listed below.
