Description
The Department of Treasury, located at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20220, has a potential requirement for a Security Information Management System or other technology/service to provide the ability to ?roll up? the security status of its bureau IT systems and networks into a graphical and/or numerical representation in near-to real-time. This is a sources sought notice that supports market research being conducted by the Department of Treasury to identify software and services capable of meeting this requirement. General Specifications: Limit responses to five pages. In addition, the responses must include: (1) name and address of the firm; (2) size of business; and (3) ownership, including large, small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, hub-zone, and or disabled veteran owned. Specific Requirements: The Security Information Management System, technology, or service must: (1) Be able to draw data from multiple sources. This includes, but is not limited to, data from different devices and different vendors such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, audit trails, anti-virus scanners, anti-spy ware scanners, vulnerabilities scanners, and security relevant configuration scanners. (2) In near- to real-time, be able to acquire and analyze data from multiple sources to provide a graphical and/or numerical representation of the security status at the Department-level and the bureau-level. (3) Be able to save a snapshot of the security status at both the Department-level and bureau-level to a file at any given time. (4) Have drill down functionality where users can go from a high level overview of the security status of the entire Department to a more detailed view of each bureau?s security status. (5) Be able to show where specific vulnerabilities or types of vulnerabilities are located for both the Department level and bureau level, e.g. if a patch for an OS has just been released, which systems do not have the patch installed, etc. (6) Be user-friendly. Non-technical personnel should be able to use the software or service with minimal training. (7) Provide access control functionality. At a minimum, there should be administrative and user levels of access. Ideally, access control could be customized to different groups of users. (8) Have a web interface accessible over an encrypted channel so users can safely and easily access it. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought notice is strictly voluntary. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition strategy. Responses must be submitted within 10 working days of RFI posting to the designated POC.
