Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order for a Video Probe. The Video Probe IX PRO Plus is a Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) video specially designed for ease of use and exceptional imaging capabilities. This Video Probe has LCD Video display and a variety of imaging and measurement features. This system also has Compact Flash removable storage media, the ability to record and playback over two hours of DVD format MPEG1 video and a USB streaming digital video port. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order under the auspices of FAR Part 12, to Everest-VIT, Incorporated, Flanders, New Jersey. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties have fifteen (15) days from the date of publicaton of this Synopsis, to submit in writing, clear and convincing evidence of how they will meet the Government's requirements, including prices, either via fax (703) 767-4691, attention of Ms. Roxana Nichols or email (roxana.nichols@dtra.mil) by 1 PM (Eastern Time), August 30, 2005. No formal solicitation is available, and al inquiries must include business name, point of contact, address, and telephone number with area code. Such responses will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after fifteen (15) days, or without the required information, will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not conduct this effort as a full-and-open competitive procurement, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. If no responses are received, an award will be made to Everest-VIT Incorporated.
