- Description
- North Fork Slate Creek Trail #320 Reconstruction: Work will include tread reconstruction, brushing, limbing, construction of new drainage dips, installation of new and replacement belted waterbars. Construction of turnpikes through wet areas. Approximately 1,000 feet of trail relocation and abandoned tread obliteration. Work will occur over the 8 mile length of trail. From Grangeville Idaho travel south of Road 221 (Grangeville-Salmon Road) approximately 24 miles to the junction with Road 243. Travel west on Road 243 (Free Use Road) approximately 1.5 miles to Road 463 (Diary Mtn Road). Travel south of Road 463 approximately 3 miles to the beginning of Trail 320. An alternate access to this trail would be to travel Highway 95 south from Grangeville approximately 27 miles to Slate Creek Road 354. Travel east on Road 354 approximately 9 miles to the North Fork Campground. Trail 320 is located north of Road 354 across from the campground. OPPORTUNITY FOR POTENTIAL BIDDERS TO REVIEW SITE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO WINTER SNOWFALL. EXPECT AWARD PRIOR TO SNOWMELT IN SPRING OF 2004.
