Description
The Mason Gulch fire burned over 11,357 acres in the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in central Colorado. In support of the Burned Area Rehabilitation Plan the contractor will aerially seed 6,200 acres of the burn. The government will furnish bulk seed in quantities to treat the designated site at the specified rate. The site to be treated is located within the Mason Gulch fire burned area where the terrain has elevations ranging from 6,200 ft. to 8,000 ft. The project area is located approximately 5 miles southeast of Wetmore, CO. The area can be accessed from State Highway 96. Mason Gulch is in the Pike and San Isabel National Forests, Pueblo and Custer Counties, State of Colorado.
