The previously issued presolicitation notice entitled, "Study on Chip-Scale Atomic Clocks" pertaining to Solicitation NB847000-5-00145DT is hereby CANCELLED. It is anticipated that a combined solicitation announcement will be published within 30 days. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with the University of Colorado to investigate optical pumping effects in atomic vapors with the goal of generating high-contrast coherent-population-trapping (CPT) resonances for use in compact atomic clocks.
