- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation issued pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addtional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-5. The NACIS code for this solicitation is 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This is a requirement to purchase additional accessories for the Nikon TE2000 and additional software currently being used with this equipment. Quantity 1 each of the following: additional software license for slidebook 4.0 for windows 2K/XP, three dimensional deconvolution module for slidebook 4.0 includes neareast neighbor and constrained literative algorithms, dual filter wheels for Nikon TE-2000, x,y motorized stage for Nikon TE2000 w/piezo includes piezo z stage, stage inserts, 0.1 um, slidebook 4.1 for windows 2K/XP, imaging workstation computer system (2.8 GHZ option, 1 monitor). It is the National Institute of Health, National Institute on Aging intend to negotiate solely with Intelligent Imaging Innovations, located at 5124 N. Washington Street, Denver, CO 80216 to obtained the addtional software and accessory equipment as they are the only known source that can ensure compatibility to existing system configurations and are the manufacturer of the existing software being used for this system. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the National Institute on Aging, 5600 Nathan Shock Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer comforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offer. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. If an acceptable response is not received by the closing date, an order will be issued to Intelligent Imaging Systems Innovations to ensure compatiblity to existing equipment.
