Description
Request For Proposals for Transcripts of Congressional Hearings The Office of International Information Programs (IIP/G/IR) of the U.S. Department of State assists IIP generally and the 174 overseas American Information Resource Centers (libraries) by acquiring a variety of online information resources for its use. The U.S. Department of State (DOS) proposes to contract for same day English-language transcripts of Congressional hearings (all committees), as well as briefings by officials at the White House, Defense, State, and Justice Departments, Presidential statements, and as wide a range as possible of other speeches, statements, and press conferences by high level USG officials. In addition, the DOS requires broad coverage and similar transcripts for foreign parliamentary hearings, media interviews, and press conferences with prominent foreign government officials on matters of foreign policy concern to the U.S, government. These services will be made available on line by the contractor, via a web-based system, to IIP and IRC offices. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: The nature of the work is unclassified. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The required transcripts and other materials shall be accessible on line by the various Washington, DC and overseas locations.
