Description

The Sierra Pacific Network Consolidated Contracting Activity intends to conduct a sole source negotiation with BD Biosciences, 2350 Qume Drive, San Jose, CA 95131 to purchase a custom built Aria Laser component not available from any other manufacturer. This fiber-coupled 50MW 405NM component will be specifically built for the existing BD Aria Laser instrument and will be used to enhance the productivity and accuracy of the FACSAria currently installed at the VA Medical Center, 4150 Clement St., San Francisco CA, 94121. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS code is 421450. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
