Description

It is the intent of the Government to purchase fire alarm monitoring services using sole source procurement. Contractor shall provide full services and support maintenance to equipment as described in this solicitation for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs ? Central Texas Veterans Health Care System located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504. These services are being procured under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (C)(1), FAR Part 6.302-1. The authority applies when supplies or services required by the agency are available from one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The Contractor shall provide direct line monitoring of the Waco VA Medical Center Simplex/Grinnell fire alarm system equipment and proprietary software on a 24-hour basis and report alarms to the local fire department with specific building numbers. The contractor shall monitor 26 buildings with one partition per building. Services shall be provided for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHS) 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504. Pricing will be based on fixed rate per month. The contract effective period shall be for the base period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, with four (4) one-year optional renewal periods.
