- I. Introduction A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are be ing requested, as a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan intends to negotiate solely with Service Express at Grand Rapids, Michigan, as this is a renewal of maintenance and support from the ori ginal contract. C. The combined Synopsis/Request number is AMSRDT-AR-2-6405. D. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. E. This acquisition is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 811212, Computer & Office Machine Repair and Maintenance. F. Basis for Award - The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i. Technical capability of the equipment to meet the Governments requirement and ii. Price II. General The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement to purchase annual Post Production Software Support intended for on site/on call, all inclusive software and hardware mai ntenance for legacy Sun workstation computer equipment, which is part of the M1A2 System Integration Lab (SIL). The following systems are included: Eight (8) SUN 3/80 WORKSTATIONS Five (5) SUN 4/75 WORKSTATIONS Two (2) SUN 60 WORKSTATIONS III. Submittal instructions: A. The quotation shall be submitted electronically to garrett.bagat@us.army.mil no later than 12:00 noon EST on August 19, 2005. Quotations shall all be in English (American Standard) language and denominated in U.S. dollars. Quotation shall include ship ping and delivery schedule. This will be a firm fixed price contract and quotations shall be made accordingly. In the event that we select your quotation for award, we will send out a contract incorporating the above terms and conditions, and particulars of your quotation. US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) reserves the right to seek clarification on any aspect of your quotation. B. This acquisition is unrated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). C. Contractors must be listed in the Central Contractor Registry prior to receiving an award.
