A Solicitation for the following requirement will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about September 7, 2005. Requirement: The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking to contract for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) for aggregate stone and rip-rap to various locations at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DEWA). The NAICS code for this requirement is 212319. The DEWA is located in the counties of: Pike, Monroe, and Northampton in PA; and Sussex and Warren in NJ. Since DEWA covers 70,000 acres and delivery costs may vary, it has been divided into four quadrants. Contractor/Vendor shall provide a total price of course aggregates consisting of: AASHTO#1, AASHTO#10, 2A Modified, and 2B (1-1/2" clean aggregate); Rip-rap R-3, R-4, and R-5 for each quadrant. Quadrants are designated and defined as follows: 1) N-PA Northern PA, materials delivered within the site north of Route 739 in PA; 2) S-PA southern PA, materials delivered within the site south of Rte 739 in PA; 3) N-NJ northern NJ, materials delivered within the site north of SC-560, NJ; 4) S-NJ southern NJ, materials delivered within the site south of SC-560, NJ. The Contractor/Vendor shall deposit aggregates at the government designated site by dumping the aggregate into a stockpile; stockpile locations will be readily accessible to roadways. The proposed contract is for the base year, plus two option years; exercise of the option years shall be at the discretion of the government. Estimated Yearly Price Range: $500,000.00-$700,000.00. Quantities: the approximate quantity may exceed 20 tons per delivery; the minimum quantity ordered at any one designated site will be 10 tons. Contractor/Vendor shall have the capacity to deliver a minimum quantity of 200 tons/day if ordered by the government. If it is to its best interest, the government may award multiple contracts. This solicitation is subject to the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 14, Sealed Bids. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation. Responses to the solicitation shall be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading the solicitation and attachments. Responses from Bidders will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in hard copy with the manual signature of the authorized company official. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation.
