Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, BRD Leetown Science Center, Aquatic Ecology Branch Kearneysville, WV intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Matrix Technologies Corp., Hudson, NH to purchase a Hydra II Plus-one Liquid Handling System with peripherals. The requested equipment is to provide quality data for USGS biological projects. As a result of market research we have concluded that no other liquid handling system has all the functions demonstrated by Matrix Technologies Corp. with the ability to dispense submicroliter volumes into either 96 or 384 weel plates: with reusable, nonbreakable needles (probes), and ability to chill reagents. There is no written solicitiation for this requirement. This award will be made on or aboutAugust 22, 2005 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00.
