Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Crane. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 332994 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division intends to enter into a Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with Knights Armament, Inc., 7750 9th Street NW, Vero Beach, FL 32968 in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed ID/IQ contract will have a five (5) year ordering period for the Refurbishment of the MK11 MOD 0 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) to a near new condition. The contract minimum is 20/EA MK11 SWS refurbishments with an estimated maximum amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, parts, paint, lubricants, equipment, facilities, and labor necessary to refurbish the MK11 SWS to a like new condition in accordance with commercial practices and the manufacturer?s recommendation. The contractor shall be required to per! form in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) titled "MK11 MOD 0 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) Refurbishment". CLIN 0001 - Refurbishment and 100% parts replacement as identified in the SOW. CLIN 0002 - Refurbishment and replacement of Missing Components as directed by the Government in the SOW. The contractor shall be required to fire all weapons for break-in as required to ensure reliability and accuracy of the rifle systems. Inspection and acceptance will be at NSWC Crane. All items shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination with all transportation charges paid by the supplier to: RECEIVING OFFICER, BLDG 2522, CODE 11322, NAVSURFWARCENDIV, CRANE, IN 47522 5001. All shipments shall be marked: B. 2521/Code 4081, Attn: Mr. Alan Brown. The contractor shall schedule deliveries under this contract to ensure arrival at destination only on Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays) between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The receiving facility ! is normally closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
