Description

Fleet Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, has a requirement for one Portable, Skid Mounted, Self-Contained Sponge Media Blast and Recovery System. This system shall be used to abrasive blast metal surfaces, recover and classify the used media and return reusable portion of the media to the system for further use. The unit shall operate from a single source of supply of dry, compressed air, which delivers 1000CFM at 100 PSIG. Complete specifications for the system will be included in the solicitation. Place of delivery will be Puget Sound Naval Shipyard 1400 Farragut Avenue Bremerton WA 98314-5001. The solicitation will be issued as Full and Open Competition using commercial procedures IAW FAR Part 12 and 13.5. The anticipated contract type of award may be of the firm, fixed price Supply type. The solicitation will be issued on or about 25 Aug 2005 and close on or about 15 Sept 2005. When issued, the RFQ will be electronically posted via the NECO website at www.neco.navy.mil. Offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ package and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax request for the RFQ will be accepted. An email request to janet.m.baker@navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. This office will maintain no bidders list. No paper copies of the RFQ/Amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same.
