The goal of the proposed work is to conduct measurements at a commercial swine production facility by Farmville, North Carolina in order to: 1) employ the passive sampling approach to quantify farm-scale spatial variability in ambient NH3 concentrations, 2) extend the passive sampler field calibration database to include high concentrations, and 3) develop a second calibration curve for the passive samplers using a laboratory exposure chamber. This work will be performed over a period of 12 months and will require analysis of approximately 8686 samples. The contractor's final product shall be a complete dataset of passive measurements to be delivered in electronic format. Evaluation shall be made on a best value basis, and per the evaluation criteria in the quote package.
